I LOVE NEW YORK - Summer Residency in New York

Daniela Nardi will be taking up a 6 week residency in New York City this summer. While her home base in Toronto is a world class jazz city, New York is still a focal point for the music Daniela makes.
Daniela will be composing, planning new projects, and simply networking. "The idea is to explore the great music scene there, meet people, get the name out, and get the music out," says Daniela.
We'll keep you posted on the results of Daniela's residency through her blog.

She won Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2009 Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards in April. And the recognition threw the Toronto singer and songwriter into the spotlight. Music comes naturally to Daniela Nardi and so does driving.
"I feel like I came out of the womb driving because on my first driving lesson, my instructor said, "Do you want to go for your licence now? You're ready.' I guess I had a lot of practice driving my father's golf cart when I was younger." She started at the age of five.

This May 14, Lula Lounge will host singer/songwriter Daniela Nardi, who is of Calabrese origin and who won this year'ss Canadian Smooth Jazz Award for having the best female voice. Her second album The Rose Tattoo (released last September) was profoundly influenced by Nardi's experience in being by her mother's side while battling cancer.

"Dear Em", the video directed by Grant Padley, will be airing on Bravo starting May 30th at 5:50pm-6pm and May 31st 8:58am-9:10am. Bravo Videos will be airing an interview with Daniela on those dates as well.
